Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Trinity County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to answer and administer the request. Messages remain within the site team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, site systems may automatically receive basic technical and usage details, including:
- A device's assigned internet protocol address
- Browser type and version information
- Operating system and general device category
- Pages viewed and the duration of those visits
- The referring website, when that information is available
- The date and time associated with each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to support usage measurement, such as which pages receive visits and where a session ends. Analytics providers help combine that traffic into reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving site performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search partner
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Diagnosing errors and security problems
- Delivering advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Trinity County Court Docket neither hosts nor sells a database of docket entries or personal case information. Its published material identifies the Trinity County District Clerk, County Clerk, lower courts, and official Texas search routes that may hold records. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or profiles about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the selected provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices, so its policy should be reviewed before a query is sent.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Trinity County clerk pages, Texas court portals, legal-aid resources, or commercial services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's policy governs its collection practices. Review those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own technologies to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs within their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- A search provider selected to process a submitted query
- Analytics vendors supporting traffic and performance measurement
- Advertising networks serving placements on the pages
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under site control. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, however, and uninterrupted protection against every breach cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A report that a minor supplied information will be reviewed so the material can be removed as required.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide rights over personal data. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, codified in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541, supplies Texas-specific rights and exceptions. Subject to the law, you can:
- Confirm whether personal data is being processed and request access
- Seek correction of inaccurate personal data
- Ask for deletion where the statute applies
- Opt out of processing covered by the applicable law
